I have this dream that I will adopt a habit of going in to the studio at 8pm every day for an hour. The actuality is that I often fall asleep on the couch at 8pm every day.

And, if I’m honest, I’ve been a little wiped out emotionally from the election and its terrible, terrible result this week.

The lyrics for Intermission are WRITTEN. The first draft, at least. I don’t see anything changing beyond finding a more elegant word here or there. I still need to work out the exact delivery & diction of everything, but it’s 90%, and probably time to start recording it.

What did I call the other thing? R&D maybe? Anyway, I was learning to use a standalone Max program called ‘Cloud’, and I got to where I needed to get with it. I’ve selected the sound files to use, I’ve got everything sorted and saved, and I made a temporary output file. The structure of the music won’t be set until I actually throw some guitar at it, but I’ll working up some other synth thing before then.
